Passionate About Sports Medicine
I was born and raised in the Washington, DC area. Growing up I played just about every sport but mostly focused on playing soccer. I went to Bethesda Chevy Chase High School and then to Dickinson College where I continue my soccer career. I majored in Neuroscience at Dickinson, knowing I wanted to pursue a career in medicine, and worked as a student athletic trainer. I provided care to the football, basketball, lacrosse and baseball teams.
I came back to DC for physical therapy school at The George Washington University. I graduated in 2017 with my Doctor of Physical Therapy and began working at Advanced Kinetics, a sports medicine practice in Falls Church, Virginia. While there, I became one of the team physical therapists for the DC Divas, the most winning franchise in the Women's Football Alliance. After this, I began working at Core Physical Therapy, an orthopedic and sports medicine practice in DC.

I am passionate about physical therapy, injury reduction and the treatment of athletes. I struggled with injuries including ankle sprains and concussions during my soccer career. I was frequently in physical therapy in high school and college. I understand the mental and physical struggle of being sidelined and feel strongly that both aspects need to be addressed for proper return to sport. I know how frustrating lingering injuries can be which is why I am committed to treating in the present but also providing athletes with the tools they need to reduce their risk of injury and optimize their performance in the future.

Currently, I enjoy playing soccer, attending F45 classes and running races including 10ks, half marathons, marathons and Tough Mudders. I am an avid Maryland basketball fan and I am always ready to talk college hoops.

Fun Facts: 1) I have sky dived. 2) I have attended every Maryland vs. Duke game since 2002 (Go Terps!). 3) I have snorkeled with sharks.
